OverDeck® 20
OverDeck® 20 is a low‑profile underfloor heating (UFH) system engineered for retrofit projects where floor build‑up must be kept to an absolute minimum. At just 20mm thick, the pre‑grooved XPS insulation panels with aluminium foil facing accommodate 16mm pipe and drive heat efficiently upwards through the floor structure to achieve high outputs without wet trades.
Suitable for suspended and solid subfloors (where a structural, level, and firm base is available), OverDeck® 20 installs rapidly across the entire floor area. Battens can be added locally for extra support at door thresholds and perimeters. The boards are available as Universal and Highway variants to simplify routing and speed coverage on site.
For floating timber floors (≥ 15mm), the finish can be laid directly on the panels; for tiles, carpet or LVT, use an intermediate screed‑replacement board for optimal load‑spread and performance. Where tiling directly over a 20mm low‑profile system is preferred, specify AmbiDeck® 20 Pro.

This arrangement provides a stable, thermally efficient platform for a wide range of room layouts while keeping overall floor height increase to a minimum.
Thermal Performance
Tested in accordance with BS EN 1264‑2:2021, OverDeck® 20 achieves up to 98 W/m² at 20°C room temperature with MWT 45°C and 0 tog covering. Performance will vary depending on covering type, pipe centres and building heat‑loss characteristics.
Floor Finishes
- Timber (≥ 15mm): Lay directly over panels.
- Tiles / Carpet / LVT: Install over an intermediate flooring board for load‑spread and performance.
- Direct‑tile Option: Use AmbiDeck® 20 Pro where a fully bondable, tile‑ready surface is required.
