AmbiSoundDeck®
Low-Profile System
AmbiSoundDeck® is a unique all‑in‑one underfloor heating (UFH) overlay panel that combines acoustic reduction, thermal insulation and a direct‑tile surface into a single low‑profile 18mm board. Designed for refurbishment and multi‑occupancy projects where both floor height and sound transmission are critical, AmbiSoundDeck® delivers high thermal performance alongside a 21 dB tested acoustic improvement – making it unlike any other UFH product on the market.
The 18mm high‑density XPS panel is cement‑coated for strength and rigidity, grooved to accommodate 12mm UFH pipe, and includes universal radius returns for flexible installation. Additional channels can be routed easily on site. As a direct‑tile system, AmbiSoundDeck® enables a high‑quality finish without extra build‑up, while maintaining excellent compressive strength and consistent heat distribution.
The system must be installed over a flat, level structural subfloor, either timber or concrete, and is fully bonded using flexible tile adhesive or DeckBond spray adhesive. Hard‑surface finishes can be applied directly, while softer coverings require a thin levelling layer.
System Components & Build‑Up
This build‑up provides a robust, acoustically enhanced UFH system with excellent heat transfer characteristics and a direct‑finish surface.
Thermal Performance
Tested in accordance with BS EN 1264‑2:2021, AmbiSoundDeck® delivers up to 79 W/m² at 20°C room temperature with MWT 45°C and 0 tog covering. Performance will vary depending on covering type, pipe centres and building heat‑loss characteristics.
Floor Finishes
18mm construction suitable for projects with limited floor height
Suitable for tiled finishes without additional overlay boards
Up to 21 dB sound reduction to improve acoustic performance
Suitable for use over uneven subfloors

Yes. The cement coated surface allows tiles and other hard wearing finishes to be laid directly once the panels are fully bonded.
Step 1. Ensure the working area is swept, clean and stable. Prime concrete surfaces to improve adhesion before laying the system.
Step 2. Spread an even bed of flexible tiling adhesive over the area before laying the AmbiSoundDeck® panels. For timber subfloors, mechanically fix each board using AmbiDeck® Screws and Washers (12 fixings per board).
Step 3. Install the AmbiSoundDeck® panels across the full area, ensuring the radius returns are positioned correctly at room edges. Allow the adhesive to fully dry before proceeding.
Step 4. Fit the UFH pipework into the channels in the AmbiSoundDeck® panels, following the pipe layout shown on the supplied UFH design drawing.
Step 5. Tiling can be installed directly – prime the boards and fill any gaps with flexible tile adhesive. For carpet, vinyl or wood flooring, apply a minimum 6mm levelling compound over the AmbiSoundDeck® system before laying the final finish.
