OverPlate® UFH Aluminium Spreader Plate – 1000mm x 390mm x 0.5mm

The OverPlate® Aluminium Spreader Plate is a high-performance underfloor heating solution designed for suspended timber and joisted floors. Manufactured from 0.5 mm high-conductivity aluminium, each plate securely holds 16mm UFH pipework in pre-formed grooves to ensure rapid, even heat distribution with minimal floor build-up. Before installation, the joist void should be insulated with mineral wool or rigid board insulation fitted tightly against the underside of the plates to maximise heat output and minimise downward heat loss.

Fixed to either side of the joist void, the plates are suitable for straight pipe runs and typically cover around 80% of the heated floor area. Their reflective aluminium surface efficiently transfers heat upwards through the floor structure, delivering an impressive output of up to 53 W/m². Ideal for both retrofit and new-build projects, OverPlate provides a low-profile, responsive, and consistent heating solution for a wide range of floor finishes.
